Hi guys

Just dropping a note about our new sample cd 'Dance Drums'.

Please audition the demo here .

The product is based
here .

I have kept the demo track very simple, with very little effects and hardly any major changes. This is so you can hear the drum sounds clearly and uncluttered.

I hope you enjoy the content.
Thnx for the space.

I don't mean to be rude but........the mp3 demo sounds nothing like trance OR hard house!! it sounds like you have downloaded a few free samples from the web and made a loop. and your asking 50 quid for it??

WTF!!

I know of a good forum where loads of people would love to buy your sample CD......its at: www.s-R-us.com

That's one of the rudest remarks I have heard from anyone.

I DO NOT download other people's samples or sequences, and the sounds on the cd and demo are all original.

I design sounds for Emu (Audity 2000, Xl 1/7) [URL=Street Kits[/URL] on their site), Propellerhedas (Drumm), Arturia (Arp 2600) and Kiesel (Helga), pls feel free to read my resume, so I strongly object to your remarks.

The demo, as I stated, is not mixed, produced or even written to song format, but there to show what the drums sound like.

If you don't like the sounds, then fair comment, but don't insult me with your abuse.

And starting a post with 'I don't mean to be rude' and then throwing in s-r-us is nothing short of abuse.

As a matter of interest, let's hear some of your efforts, of course made from no samples, but your own writing. editing and production.

hey dude, I havent listened to your demo, but thats not the point here. Yes, that guy was a prick for saying that, and I'm sure there are a lot more like him that would say the same.

What I am trying to say here is that when you have a product like the one you are selling, your promotion(demo) must embelish your product as much as possible...one thing I have learned is that never market your product at face value, or just what it is. Always try and make it more than what it is. If you are a sound designer, like you say then use those abilities to make your demo as complex as possible...also you might want to get someone to make a track for you to demo your product(just listened to your demo, its way to simple, your gonna have to do a little better than that to get people to buy it...no offence)

One sugestion is to use different ryhthems like break beats, 2 step, DnB,and stuff...really show off what your kit is all about....oh and dont be afraid to put in some reverb and delay. Simple effects wont misslead the consumer, but will arouse their senses in efforts to create what you have done, with your stuff.

Example: Vengence sound sets....sounds are good, but what makes the purchase?...his leads and melodies(the possibilities),and when you get the set its like "damn its not that great?"

Your sound designer, so you must know some producers that can make some crazy beats...ask them to make some demos for you.

Hope this helps.

Did not mean to offend!

Hi Limit

That's constructive and very helpful. Thank you.

I try to keep my demos as simple as possible so the listener can then best judge what to do with the samples.
That way, they are not overwhelmed with effects and distracted by the song content.

Thnx for the helpful suggestions.
