Hi all!
I'm from Canada and will be visiting your country as a part of my Europe trip. I arrive in Munich August 3rd and leave in Berlin August 17th. I'd like to know if anyone has tips and advices as to what not to miss and what to avoid at all cost.
Also, anyone knows a good/cheap hostel in Munich, cuz I need to book soon and based from what I've read on the net, they all look the same.
I know this has probably been discussed in other threads but I couldn't find them. So please, if there are such threads could you give me the link instead of telling me to use the search button ;)
Thanks! |

for anyone living in Berlin, I need an info. I'm looking to book an hotel in the suburb from the hotel chain formule 1 hotel. The adress is :
Kastanienweg 2
14974 GENSHAGEN
GERMANY
Does any of you know if I can get easily to the city center by public transportation?
Thanks |

this is definately not to miss :)
apart from that, there won't be happening much in munich. there are a lot of open air cinemas in summer here, nice atmosphere :)
besides i think u will want to see all the "usual" stuff: the new stadium, olympiapark, marienplatz, frauenkirche
if the weather is nice, i recommend to chill in the "Englischer Garten" or you can go to a nearby lake, "Starnberger See" is only about 20km away and is reachable by S-Bahn (stop "Possenhofen" e.g.) |

Just get a hotel/hostel in downtown Berlin, it won't be more expensive and lacks the hassle of getting into the city. |

True. We can all recommend the ETAP at the
Anhalterstrasse 6
http://www.etaphotel.com/etaphotel/...el=5058&liste=1
It`s really cheap, clean and is very close to the Potsdamer Platz. |

thanks for the tip, it's booked!
It's a little more expensive (50 euros for 2) but I get to have my own room...
edit:
I've just checked a map and it's frikkin downtown! |
