Heineken is pretty normal and read my first post... German beers are so bad... trust me I lived there for a while, its just terrible like the cheapest beers you would get here. |

you've just ruined my dreams... I'll be in Munich August 3rd and leaving in Berlin 2 weeks after and I have such high expectations for beer over there!! I mean Munich is home of the world's most famous beer festival, Oktoberfest!! how could they make such crappy beer??
still hoping for some good booze :D |

For germany it really depends, the young people are mostly good in english... this time around I met alot who were good enough. But when I was in Berlin 4 Yrs ago, omg they sucked didnt know a word. But youll always find a way. |

Czech republic is almost impossible. I mean there are exceptions and all but I found that only about 2-3 people could understand what I meant, that's even including "tourist" language (aka: BIG hand gestures).
It took me close to 5 (FIVE) minutes just to ORDER... let me repeat, ORDER a big mac combo @ Mcdonalds. I mean wtf?
(edit: It doesn't matter, though. You go to Czech/Prague for the food/sights/booze/partying, not to speak english.) |

anyway I guess it's part of the whole experience to be misunderstood!
as long as I can order a beer and book a bed I'm fine with that! |
