Hey everyone. Just wondering if anyone has any experience in this program. If you do, could you help me out with it? Otherwise can you send me towards some tutorials on how to use it?

i heard it sucks, my friend told me they took out midi learn... how lame is that??? the new features look cool but i dunnooo.. seems really stupid on native instruments account if this is true. they have tutorials on their website for registered users.

definetly the best and most advanced soft sampler that i have ever used.

i like it.

Kontakt 2 is the best software sampler right now. That's all you need to know. It's powerful and very easy to use. It doesn't get any better than that!

While there is no MIDI Learn feature like v1.5 had, setting up automation is still fairly straightforward. In the Browser you select a CC number and drag it to the knob you wish to automate. Then program a knob on your MIDI controller to the same CC number and you are good to go.

I haven't heard 1 person say that this thing sucks until now. So that's everybody who uses this things praise..to winks hearsay against.

Listen to wink..it sucks..he heard someone say so lol.

It's a slight improvement over v1 but a significant one for pepole (like me) who ose a sampler as a sound design tool. You can now layer a row of any filters/fx per group, previous version had some limitations on what effects and how many you could layer. You can also send to instrument sends at any point in the chain All in all great for resampling and mangling synth sounds.

It also works a lot better in FL Studio than v1 (actually all new NI stuff does). Other than that it's business as usual.

Little of topic but the sound libary that comes with it is amazing.

I don't know if I'd agree that Kontakt is the "best" soft sampler around. It may be the most extensive in terms of features, but it still sports that achilles' heel of all NI plugins, the awkward candy-apple interface.

The best one I've used to date is Emulator X. Some wouldn't call it a soft sampler since it won't run without an Emu card, but AFAIK it doesn't actually do anything at the hardware level, which makes it a software sampler in my eyes. The only other one that impressed me was MOTU MachFive (don't own it but had a chance to play with it for a little bit) - they didn't include as many bells and whistles but it's a very functional interface.

I actually prefer Kontakt 1.x to Kontakt 2 - they both are a little annoying on the interface side, but at least 1.x had a smaller footprint and you didn't get the feeling that they were trying to cram 6 months of luggage into an overnight bag, if you know what I mean.
