Favorite synth/controller keyboard?

What is a good SOLID, reliable controller keyboard? It doesnt have to be a huge synth keyboard, but something that would go great alongside a nice hardware synth like a virus c.
Im currently looking to buy an alesis micron, what do you guys think? have any experiences with one?
What about any m-audio products? which do you recommend?

does anyone have any experience with a novation x-station or similar?

| Yes. I have an X Station 25 and it's the perfect companion for a mobile laptop producer. Nothing can touch its features. However if portability is not a huge concern you should go for the 49 or 61 key model. The onboard synth is an implementation of the KS synths, much more complex than the K or V station. For me, aftertouch is essential and the touchpad is also great for mangling sounds in realtime. |
