Perhaps it was Ferry Corsten that caused people not to dance? The next street over at Spirit, everyone was dancing all night long... :p

I go to Crobar to dance, whether it be Hernan, Sasha, Zabiela, or Sander...

Whoever wants to see PvD will go wherever he's playing. If he's playing at my house, people will show up at my house. If he's playing at Exit, people will show up at Exit. He's playing at Crobar. You're going to go, so why complain every two seconds? I never understood why people reminisce so much... If you're not going to enjoy yourself, don't go.

Correction...you mean much more into their drugs.;) I guess I can see what you guys are talking about BUT who the wants to sit down at a club? Unless your chillin with your girl or your pills are kicking your ass j/k:haha: I hardly ever feel the need to sit down at a club....the only time I do is when my friends want to. Ive always had mezz level braclets @ Crobar so finding a place to sit down is never a problem. I personally like the higher cielings in Corbar. The only time I was at Roxy I felt like I was boxed in some well, ty ass roller skating rink lol.....oh and the sound there was not that good. Crobars system > Roxy imo. The only thing Roxy has over Crobar is the bigger dance floor but just because the dance floor is bigger doesn't mean the club is better.

iono about u but i was always bugging out/dancing nonstop at ROXY widout bumping into ppl ever -- well except for busy PVD nights where it was craaaazy crowded but then it was always good after 3am...never saw the point of just dancing/grooving in place at a club. which is what most ppl do if they are elbow to elbow. i never really found that fun. i guess thats why i found ferry much more fun than PVD, i couldnt even dance during PVD it was so crowded and hot.

True but in those types of situations I have always found a way to dance.....get your group of friends together and just make your own space.;)

I'm one of the biggest PVD fans around and I'm really not even excited about this. Crobar just doesn't do it for me at all.

great news, this will kick ass hopefully.

guys... Crobar is a in club. be bothered by their vip all you want, but all real clubs have vip areas. club owners, promoters and djs have to entertain... because this is an entertainment business, end of story. i'm not bothered by this at all.

as far as big main room dancefloors in real clubs, crobar is the best spot, with the friendliest and most hospitable club staff and security, and on a good night there sound system kicks ass. that main room has a great feeling to it, with that incredibly tall ceiling and everything else.

roxy had some good pvd nights... but there are only two things that made those nights stand out: 1) paul van dyk 2) made events bringing in lasers - which we all know lee is going on about.

i agree crobar has ty lights for the kind of club it is... and we need to all complain to them about this... a club of this magnitude needs good lights and a laser.

and whoever complained about crobar catering to the "bottle" crowd???? listen - this is a club AND a business- wake up. if you prefer drugs or sobriety that's your deal.... but people drink at clubs, all over the world and not just at crobar.. it is a part of normal clubbing, get over it! there's nothing wrong with that.

crobar is deffffinitely THE spot for monster djs in nyc... i complain about their lighting, and that is all.

Get rid of bottle service and prices of covers and drinks for the non-bottle service crowd increases to have the same environment (i.e. lighting, decor). I'll let them have their area so I can have mine just the way that it is, or better.

Crobar markets itself to a more diverse demographic, which is why everyone there is not a TA. That's why you get the music junkie right next to the model, who's next to the guido, who's trying to dodge the crackie Asian doing the headshaker dance next to the speaker. I see it as a club with something for everyone in the scene.

While I go to all of the others, each of the other clubs has a much more distinct flavor. Cielo has more pretty people and music lovers. Spirit definitely has more crackies, as does Avalon, but also they also seem to draw the gropers. At least they all tend to keep in sections, so you can avoid one particular group if you abhor them that much.

hmm tru, the CIRCLE...hahaha. ok yeah ive done that too. LOL :D

ooh memory: all the TAs - esp the taller ones like Damon -- helped to do that during Ferry at Space right in front so that we all had some breathing room. Thank goodness for that, or else us smaller ppl would have been stampeded on. once in awhile a weirdo or freak or two would cross through, i just remember thats when DA n I would give each other the WTF?!!! looks. :p

ugh ive experienced GROPERS mostly AT avalon, thats where grls need to have 'boyfriends' and even THEN they still grab you :whip: but yeah ive experienced it several times during Crobar's 18+ nights :whip: like during Sasha
