I'm just starting to use reason while moving away from FL Studio 5. My main problem is I don't know how to connect the reverb devices and what not to my synthesizers and what not. I'll go ahead and create a malstrom graintable synth but I don't know how to connect it to the rv7000 advanced reverb. Anyone want to help out? If you could also point me to some tutorials or something that would be great. I know FL has great potential and all but I want to try out reason. Also is there a way to rewire reason into FL or no? |

Press " Tab " and wire it yourself in the back. Its self explanitory. Input :(synth) Outpu: (mixer) or whever you want the output to go. |

Moving away from FL Studio??
Why would you ever do that?
Heres some advice as you work with reason, u will find out that the devil is in the detail, what im trying to say is Fl studio can create superb, complex and mind blowing melodys and loop counterparts for tracks, where reason cannot offer this, Reasons upper strenght lies with its superb drum patterning sequencing and which think is an UPGRADE from Rebirth and not to metion it has great rewire capabilities for cubase sx! also another plus is beautiful sounding synthesizers and effects see Reason 3.0 if u doesnt know what im talking about!
Learn to intermix ur production tools they work great together !

haha yeah I figured it out eventually. I realized that I can't always use one effect with another synthesizer. But yeah I just did the rewiring in the back and that fixed everything. I have cubase sx but I'm going to have to read on it. It's a little difficult to understand the interface for the first time (trying out the demo). I just started reading the online tutorial on reason and that's helping out a lot. Figuring out some key commands and what not. Just figured out how to recreate that awesome ATB guitar sound :) thanks everyone |

I am a Reason n00b, but you can hook up to 4 effects into the mixer, then use the effect on a track by turning up the nob on the mixer. The downside is the settings on the effect are the same for each track. I only use reverb in this way. Other effects I put on the instruments.
In the tutorals stick, I have a link to a Reason tutorial that is pretty interesting (it is not a basic walthrough). |

The manual is your best bet for starter tutorials. |

"Right click - Create" is your best friend in Reason. If you want to add reverb to a synth, right click the synth, and select create-reverb. Then if you want to add delay onto the synth, right click the last effect you added (reverb) and repeat the step. |
