| This is the dumbest idea I've ever seen in my life (next to those old school portable organizors, like who ever uses those???) |

one company came out with a 100,000:1 ratio for a tv! Cant remember which company though.
SED by Canon and Toshiba, look it up. |

Crazy technology!
But what's it good for? Hmmmm...
Perhaps two people sitting at different angles can watch different shows. But what about sound? |
The sound feed for the reflected view can easily be modulated to a different carrier frequency. The only problem then would be that you would need another device to demodulate the signal back to its normal state, plus you'd need a set of speakers for each view. Not to mention it would be really annoying to have to listen to what the other person is watching.....so yeah pretty useless for TV applications. It might be useful for graphic design/music production, where instead of having two monitors for dual display...you could simply just use one monitor and a mirror to reflect a different desktop image.
Even if it ends up being useless, I think it's pretty damn cool! |

This makes sence, but it'd be more costly than simply getting two screens.

Okay I saw this on Breakfast TV this morning and I finally got it...So the idea is that two people can watch different channels at the same time (or be on the computer)...The two just simply have to sit at an angle to the TV no mirrors needed...so far the only problem is the audio and it's delivered via headphones.
Now I actually think this is pretty damn COOL! :eyes: |
