recording... i just plugged into my PC and hit it, but i noticed there is a sort of 'line noise' in it. it's constant, i can see it in the oscilloscope on the recorder. im guessing this is due to ty integrated sound, since if i were to plug in NOTHING and just hit record, it's still present.
anything i can do to fix this, or is it just a matter of buying a decent sound card? |

if its there without plugging in anything, its probably your soundcard. unless your house has crappy grounding.
what i try to do when plugging in things to my soundcard...
keeping everything on the same outlets keep the noise down beucase theres a common ground. it also helps me to complete the loop. so taking a signal from my mixer to the computer, noise is always reduced when i put the output of my soundcard back into an empty mixer channel.
i am not an electrician but these help me. |
