Ah yes i got what you meant. See my issue with warts is that I keep on getting them on my fingers. I put medicine on them and they go away than they come back. I just got rid of one like yesterday. I ripped it off and it bleed a lot.
Yeah that was an absurd comment. I am sorry Shakka next time I will explain the way I feel and not write in 'code' that you would not get. But hey its not your fault like i said next time I will correctly write what I mean.
So how are you today?? |
I've had better days. The warts are really flaring up today. Yourself? |

So you live in chicago right? What part of the city do you live in? I unfortuanately live in the suburbs. It really sucks. Everyone is a damn preppie or the suburban version of a punk.
I have bad news for you man. Elvis is not the real thing. |

No. I was married in Chicago. I live in Atlanta with the other Jebusland crazies. Nothing wrong with Chicago suburbs--there are some really great ones! |

Half a million? Try 4 million. We don't need the Bears, we have the Braves and Michael Vick. The weather is much better here. |

I meant in the city The weather might be better but you guys don't have the art institute we have and not as many attractions. So in the end chicago is a better city to live in by far. Even if it gets cold during the winter. |

Regardless, your statement does beg a more broader question - why would kids have to learn about a God of any sorts in the first place? And why then would they have to have a comparison between a belief in a God versus engulfing themselves in a terrific ficticious story? |
Good question.
I think he may be refering to the age where kids really don't understand the differences between good/evil or right/wrong.
Maybe it's the same reasoning as why minors aren't charged as adults?
That being that minors don't truely understand the choices they make (or at least I think that's the arguement).
Granted, we understand that it's fantasy, much like Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh or Mickey Mouse.
My question would be, why pick on just Potter? Is it the magic that's the issue? But then again, who the hell believe in talking mice or bears and flying humans??

Bleh--nobody lives "in the city", and I don't know why anyone would want to unless they completely redesigned it. Downtown is where the crime is and certainly not where most of the fun is. Atlanta is definitely a sprawling city with traffic that makes me crazy sometimes, though I have learned to outsmart the traffic.
I readily concede that Chicago is a sweet city. Frankly, I'd take it over New York 6 times out of 10. But in the end, Atlanta is home for me and I love where I am now. Nothing against Chicago though.;) |

what is it in the books the pope doesnt like??
you cant really come out and condemn something unless you know what uts about. the idea of magic and fairytales is nothing new...i mean this pope grew up in the hitler youth, and he turned out an alright christian did he not, and im sure such tales were about when he was a child. if this is the best the pope has to offer then whats the point?? |

| another religo being petty with popular culture. hardly surprising. that said, harry potter is the worst thing ever to happen to fantasy, maybe thats why he\'s really against it. just coz its :D |
