Well obviously I would pay up. I was just pointing out the one major flaw in my analogy. |

I can tell you it is NOT because of the war or the bombings or any higher priority story. There has to be a catch, like it only works under certain conditions or something. |
like you have to have HIV |

i read about this earlier today. it looks like good news. the only problem is if the virus is still present wont it just multiply? |
Well if you research on how AIDS or HIV spread its trough the use of human cells that it multiplies n spreads, the New Drug Block the Virus from Combining with human cells therefore stopin the virus at its starting point.
PS. Sorry if i cant spell correctly |

I think they're called entry inhibitors. They're taken along with loads of cocktails of drugs daily. In Thailand they've just released a single generic pill which is a cocktail of lots of HIV drugs in one.
Apparently, HIV has the facility to variant itself to the 9 billionth which is why it's a bastard of a virus to prevent/control.
And I thought being a type 1 diabetic was bad!!!
For all you conspiracy theorists out there, you might want to check out the Strecker Memorandum. Not sure how much I believe it myself, but you might. Some of it is scarily convincing though :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: |

The Japanese tend to be a bit insular about scientific breakthroughs of this magnitude. It might b a while before this info makes frontpage news. Also, this is probably just testing stage so the Japs won't toot their horn so soon. |

Its great that they have a way to block it, but they should worry about the disease mutating over time and becoming immune to whatever drugs they throw at it. Darwin's theory applies in this sense because in order for it to survive it must adapt to new, in this case, drugs, and at the rate that this disease reproduces/replicates, Im positive that there will be one mutated cell out of the billions that will leak through with an immunity which will replicate. |
