This was originally scheduled for the 16th, but the date was changed to the 15th a few weeks ago. It's at The Noodle Factory in Oakland per Thomas Datt (even though the flyer says "undisclosed location").

I've never been to that venue, but it sounds kinda ... low-profile (ghetto)? Anyone have any comments or opinions on it? Anyone been? :p

It's probably going to be relatively small, given that the infoline still gives no information about the event's location... and the event is tomorrow night. But I'm not doing anything then so I'm going to wing it and see how it is.

Here's the updated flyer:

THE NOODLE FACTORY

1255 26th St.
Oakland, CA 94607
(West Oakland)

P.S. I'm sure his 1015 gig in August will be a little bit more... inviting..? :p

low profile (i.e. ghetto) is just the kind of party i need right now! i will probably have to work until 1 am tommorrow night but i still might go after work. i havent seen thomas datt since pvd at roxy i think. it would be cool to hear him spin again. is he based out here now?

Nope -- New York still. He just has these two bay area gigs close to each other, which is kind of nice. :)

I have to give Thomas Datt huge props, by the way. He is incredibly communicative with his fans and very down-to-earth. If you're on MySpace.com, check out his two profiles ( here and here ). :)

Haha, I don't know him quite that well. ;)

Might as well post a quick summary. This was actually a really fun event even though the location was never publically announced that I know of (not even on the damn infoline). Attendance was low, but I'm thinking that was probably intentional.

I got to chat with Thomas a few times and got my picture taken with him (even danced next to him during swing 2 harmony :p he ran from behind the dj booth onto the dance floor while it played :haha: ). Very cool guy, and I expected nothing less.

Hey, these small shows can be a good time ;)

He played a lot of his own songs, which was great, especially since it was his first DJ gig ever. :) He had pretty decent mixing, with the exception of a couple technical difficulties.

Marco V - I Feel You (Thomas Datt 2v2 Remix)
Nikola Gala - Swing 2 Harmony
True Form and Thomas Datt - Forbidden Colours (Thomas Datt Remix)
Thomas Datt - 2v2 (Original or Robert Nickson Mix)
Thomas Datt - Alone (Original Mix)
Solarstone - Seven Cities

Waaay more I just can't remember right now.. 4am, GOODNIGHT!

Sounds like it was a really cool time, since it seemed like a small and personal event. I should have gone. Sounded like a really fun chill time overall, glad you had fun.
