does anyone have any soundscapes/samples of like beach sounds/ocean sounds... stuff like waves crashing and seagulls and possibly whale singing??

to get a better idea this kinda stuff is featured in solid sessions - janiero avb remix and greecourt - silent heart

thanks
Aquarian
Yes, but they're bad quality. I usually try to hide that with filters and EQ, keep them in the background and layer three or four on top of eachother at one time, so they sound ok.

they're fairly easy to create, remember had to create a seascape in college with a program called synfactory(?). worth having a look at if its still available, was a free download aswell.

hope this helps, tom :)

Yeah, I usually try to layer synths with white noise and wavey automations to make them sound like waves and wind. Usually works pretty well. Then I use those sounds on top.

Try www.findsounds.com.

And then go to the search section. Choose a selection with good quality parameters and you'll probably find it. You can find a lot of sounds like this if you're not searching to "strange" sounds.

I've got a handful of very nice quality samples that came off of sound effects CDs, but they're kind of big so I can't really post them. You can either use them by themselves or combine them in bigger "soundscapes". Just drop me a PM if you're interested (don't worry - no charge :)).

Also got some Absynth presets and maybe a few other presets lying around, if anyone wants me to then I can dig around for those... they're obviously not as good as the samples but I've used them a few times and nobody has said "what the is that" when listening to the track :p

I also happen to have quite some nice ones from sample cd's, pm me if you're interested ;)
JoeyEnv
Icone, definately be interested in that man. :)
RIPassion
I've got a few good ones as well... and one or two come(s) with Logic's soundbank.

gerrycueto
or you can synthesize them yourself

pitched down whitenoise fading in with reverb for waves

bandpass filtered whitenoise for wind howls

whitenoise and sines for birds tweeting
DigiNut
You can synthesize almost any sound, but a recorded sample is still usually better. :)

Icone, are you giving or selling? I've only got a handful, it never hurts to have a few more. ;)
