Ok...i barely ever post any threads on here...but tonight i was supposed to see ali form deep dish at 125 in philthadelphia...anyway, supposedly the guy at the door said ali wanted to put his own mixer in the sound system, and the club wouldnt let him put it in, so he flipped and decided to walk out...never turning back.

So after buyin presale tix and driving all the way from long island to see 1/2 of deep dish...i got nothin...people that had tix still showed up, was in such a pissy mood i ended up boozin my face off...

Anyways...dont know if the mixer thing was seriously the real reason or not...but i know i was siked for this for a while...and now im dissapointed, hope they both show up at crobar sat...tell ali thanks for the let down.:whip:

yea ali has that new pioneer 1000 mixer that he loves working on. Sucks though, i dont see the big problem with letting him use his mixer. The guys at the club dont know how to hook it up?

Definitely was a disappointment however, it was totally cool that the people at 125 decided to refund everybody's money and give out free shot all night long...

From Ali on their forum regarding the matter:

Hi guys. Just wanted to clarify what had happened in Philly as I know those of you that had come out were disappointed to find that i was not playing. I had gone to the club with my tour manager to install the Pioneer DJM1000 mixer (which is currently a prototype) as well as some other gadgets. Once at the club (to make a long story short), we were told by two of the owners to basically ' off, they won't be installing anything for us and that this is the end of the discussion so we may as well go to the hotel and shower.' I had never been talked to in that manner before and neither had my tour manager and i RARELY IF EVER cancel a gig. So while the promoter idly stood by without once stepping in, we made the decision that we would not play that night. I cannot, in good conscience, perform at a venue which makes me feel this unwelcome and disrespected. I apologize if this caused problems for those of you that came out and i love u all for coming out but the situation could not be helped.

I figured there was more to the story...couldnt picture ali being that much of an arrogant bastard to just walk out.

well, its obvious that they werent getting any cooperation from the club owners nor the promoters that booked him so its better to be safe than sorry and walk away.
