Hey everyone...this is my first post, I have reading this board for about a year now and i enjoy reading everyone's opinions. I am sure i have seen many of you out and about as well. Anyhow, i have technical question and if anyone could help, it would be much appreciated. I am using an Ibook G4 and I am trying to download these two sets. I have downloaded stuff before from Mr. Dave T (thanks by the way Dave) and have had no problem with it (Ferry Corsten at Avalon, NY and Sasha and Digweed at Spundae in '99 come to mind)...anyway I downloaded those sets, saved the file as an MP3 and it popped right up in my Itunes. Now with these two and the Armin ASOT, they come up as mpga files. So, I have changed them to mp3's and for some reason lately the file will not pop up in my Itunes. In fact, if it does pop up at all the file is usually only 12KB. I am using Safari.
I have also tried using Internet Explorer, but I can only save those as Quicktime movies, which won't play in Itunes. at least they are large files so I know the content is there.
This is frustrating....if anyone can help it would make my day...

Well,
1) I would recommend getting Firefox instead. ;)
2) Safari should be able to download these fine; perhaps iTunes is doing something funky with them if you're just clicking on the links.. iTunes is probably your default player for .mp3 and is taking it over the second you start downloading it. Try doing ctrl-click on the links in DaveT's post and select the option of "dowload the linked file" or "save as" (I don't recall Safari's wording). That'll download the files as-is (.mp3), and to where you tell them to go (might default to Desktop tho), and bypass iTunes altogether.
Then you can try loading them into iTunes I guess. I don't know why mp3 files would be showing up as mpga tho. Funky iTunes option perhaps? |

It does it once or twice, but I thought maybe G&D did that. ;) Dunno. |
That's what I thought at first, but you don't hear any crowd when it goes silent, which is why I think it's caused by whoever ripped it. |

| Excellent work all around. I was not able to stay for Schultz's set, but G&D played a great one! These recordings will make the rest of my summer that much better. |
