Holy goddamn thunderstorm!

So here in Cambridge it is currently raining like a mother******. Glorious sheet lightning and really loud thunder that seems as if it is right overhead.

My pool has overflowed and the rainwater is now flooding my backyard (the grass is submerged) and our gutters are overflowing at a ridiculous rate.

I live at the top of a hill, and at the bottom of the hill, the street takes a 90° turn to the right. The stormdrains down there are overflowing and the road is probably under 6 inches of water.

Just past that is a creek, which has completely overflowed and is up over the banks. Totally awesome.

It's coming your way, Toronto

Yeah, I was in the middle of uploading the Paradigm pictures when BAM! -- I got a brutal reminder that I had yet to hook up my UPS at the new place...

So after a bit of cursing and swearing, I unplugged everything and replugged with the UPSes... Of course the power has been fine since then..

Damn Murphy's Law... :D

I wont lie, I kinda have a sick fetish for storms lol.

When I was a kid at a soccer tournament, we were caught outside when a tornado touched down not too far away. I freaked out my parents had to slap me out. After that ive always been attracted to severe weather.

I woke up at 3pm to the storm, turned on my light, which went right back off a minute later when the power went out, then went upstairs and chilled out with my cats that were somehow sleeping thur this lol. Finally we got some rain though so all the grass and everything will turn green again, plus cool everything down too. At least these past couple storms only lasted a couple hours for the most part, not raining all day which would suck.
