Sometimes the lectures only need to cover certain material, and that material may only need 10 or 11 weeks to teach. If the semester lasts for 15 weeks, the lecturer might decide to do the exam after 10 or 11 weeks, and teach some extra material afterwards, simply because the students might be interested to learn. You are there doing a course of your choice, after all.

I remember having difficulties with lab Teaching Assistant's, not so much with prof's though.
The good thing is, it prepares you for a multitude of different work styles when you join the workforce. Such a broad range of different people out there and how they do things - sometimes you'll find that you have to adapt to them in order to get stuff done, even if it seems totally backwards. |

I never had much trouble throughout college... school has always come easy. A few of my professors would go straight into lecture after an exam, but I would always just leave anyway. |

does anyone think its a little unorthodox for a teacher to continue lecture after an exam? |
Sucks, but would you rather he give you a 2hr lecture before the exam? :conf: |

Absolutely. That way you don't have to switch from memorisation mode to answering mode, and then back to memorisation mode, which can cause a mega brain cramp. :eyes: :eyespop: |

eehhh, i always though 2 hours of new material would make you forget the stuff you memorized for the test. |

Heh, hasn't happened to me yet. Doctor McKercher (my Linguistics 203 prof last semester) did that several times and I did well enough for an A in his class, so... :p |
