Kick and clap are very poor for me, strings should be more deep, bass sounds quite good :) from 5:00 to 5:06 great but after that melody is poor for me. In my opinion song is too long, but it's quite good ;)

yeh bass line is nice, nice build up at the start, clap and kick do sound a tad weird, but that's personal preference. id make the kick harder tho, and change the clap.
nice use of fx, that pad/string is very nice sounding.
main synth sounds good.
the bass is forced to play at too low a level and sorta crunches out the song a bit.
5:00, nice change, but at first hear sounded a bit too fast for changing.
not feeling a lot of energy carrying the song through since there are gaps to fill the lack of potential carry through the track.
i think youre milking the main theme too much throughout the song.
the song definately has a nice sound and feel to it, its just lacking in the appeal department.
maybe pan out your synths a little bit more aswell.
song goes on too long, if it were a quick mix, itd be better.
probably too much effort went into making this sound like a "pro" song, step back a bit and take a good listen.
other than that, its not that bad a song, keep up the work, its solid stuff. |
