This is one of my favorite Traxx of my album. Tell me what you guys think. Artificial Dreamer - Watching Sunset (Original mix) Aquarian I like the sound of it. The begining of the breakdown was nice, I very much like how there's a complete silence and calm, and then those violins come out of nowhere, but then the elements sort of barge their way back in too quickly and too suddenly. It didn't feel like there was a buildup at all. Energy-wise the begining, middle and end are the same. You could make the breakdown a little longer, and give it more time to build (after all, that's what breakdowns are for). You should also accentuate that with percussions, crashes, effects, white noise, etc. Try to make it feel like it's going somewhere. Your melody is good, but it doesn't really take it's place. This is a terrific song...but it's a song that also sounds like it could be made even better. Aquarian gave some excellent advice on elements to try. Personally I thought the pause was a tad long simply because I wasn't totally entranced at the point of the break. It didn't capture me enough to warrant such a dramatic pause. Your strength is definitely in your percussion patterns. I really liked the kits used and they sounded good overall in the mix. The melody seemed like an afterthought. Nothing wrong with it, but it just never jumped into the spotlight at all at any point. Maybe a better sounding lead would be in order? :thepirate CLICK TO RETURN TO TOP OF PAGE
