Cheap, free, easy to use mp3 splitter?

I have all these livesets that i want to burn to CD but I want to split them into tracks but all the ones ive tried are hard to use or work for a few days then deactivate.
i know one of u must know a good program to use. |

Although I have never used this program to split sets up by tracks....I used to use it to spit them up so each part could fit on one cd....untill I bought mp3 player for my car. But im sure its possible. |

What you need is a basic .wav editor. All you need to do is open the mp3 file in the wav editor (99% of wav editors now have support for mp3's). splice/mark the track where you need a track mark, alternatively copy and paste each track length from one project to another. There are tons of free wav editors available, check download.com for some basic ones. BTW, your soundcard would have also come with a bundled wav editor. :cool:

Roxio Express does it just go to propertiest the whole mix will come up and all you need to do is place indexes to seperate enjoy!!! |
