PLEXI presents Dance Local Think Global™

Hallucination Limited Record Release Party

DJ THREE
Sean Q6
Peter Anthony

The newly tansplanted NYC imprint Hallucination Limited kicks off with a record release party featuring DJ THREE and label cohorts SEAN Q6 & PETER ANTHONY. The Hallucination Limited label returns with “Get Up” - Robbie Hardkiss’s highly anticpated follow-up to “Everything is Changing” on Classic Recordings.

There are those in the know and there are those who have yet to discover the DJing prowness of DJ THREE. His DJ sets are marked with vintage acid-house, soulful techno and modern dub and he posseses an innate ability to capture the not-so-common cross section of dance floors from house to techno, and all points in between. As a masterful DJ he can seamlessly present each record as if it is a journey out of one space into an even more exciting and inviting one. Rather than relying on merely playing tracks that are self contained adventures, he makes the mixing and the feeling of musical movement the show that it is, and mold a dancefloor to his will. It is something to be experienced! For too long, DJ THREE's genius as a DJ has been bubblin' under the radar but he's now poised to break through with an upcoming Hallucination Limited label compilation Hallucienda on System Recordings out September 2005.

HLT 008 - Robbie Hardkiss "Get Up" (Part 1)
Robbie’s latest delves even further into his self-styled acid funk sound. Armed with an incessant train-of-thought groove, Robbie’s own vocal call-outs playfully urge you to “get up…get your ass up off the couch” in between wicked dropouts that only add to the pace. You’ll swear it was Prince or James Brown on the mic. Robbie has delivered what will prove be a timeless funk track for all tomorrow’s parties.

This disc being the first of a 2-part set, DJ’s will have plenty of angles to work the theme of “Get Up”. AA1 sees Ken from East Coast Boogiemen go solo with the excellent Get Up To Get Down Mix that both house and tech-house DJ’s alike will find use for. Taking a page from the Derrick Carter Boompty Boomp School of House, Ken gives this mix just enough jack in this slightly tweaked-out stomper. AA2 rounds things off for DJ’s who know how to work things with Robbie’s Accapella Tool.

Remixes on the way from: MFF’s Freaks, Orac / Kompakt’s Caro, and the debut of Robbie’s Pipebombs for Crackheads project
