Fruity Loops 'Noobie' ish question

This might sound a bit 'noobie'ish but here goes:
I've been mastering fruity loops alot lately, and went though some of the demo songs (in 'cool things' folder), I noticed that some of the settings for the fx (eq etc) was quite good, so I saved them and tried them in my own projects, they made it sound so much better. I think I have been eqing at the wrong frequencies for each type of element im doing (bass, snare, lead etc).
My question was would someone be able to do a load of presets for 'typical' eq settings for kick, bass, hi hat, etc ?
I'm very aware it differs from song to song as they all have different instruments, but it would be interesting to see and learn from this.
Cheers. |

Here you go EQ TABLE
And instead of starting a new thread because its such a basic question and iv probably missed something very obviouse here but how do you get your programs to load synths that arnt in their own pluggins folder. Eg. Im running fruity and live. Do i have to install each synth and pluggin for each program? |

Change the VST directories for the program. I'm assuming you want VSTs for live so change it for that. It might be in the preferences or similar.
But I don't use live so..... |

Using presets for EQ is a very bad idea. Instruments never sound the same. Sometimes you want your leads to take more space, sometimes less. Every kick sounds different. Sometimes you want to cut the highs altogether, sometimes you want to leave the highs and cut some mids, etc. Best thing is to just do it from scratch every time. |
