I still have to drive my car to the train station. It is in Trenton...

Glad to hear that it was a good time. I'll make it up for another one soon enough. :)

Glad to hear that the party was awesome. Makes me feel even worse for missing it. Independence Air decided to cancel my flight from Pittsburgh to Newark, rebooked me on another flight, cancelled that one as well, and ended up sending me to JFK with a six hours delay. As a final insult they misplaced my bag (which contained my clubbing shoes). Damn.

Thanks to all of you who came out and partied with us! Definitely another fun night at the loft. The turnout was great, over 200 people showed up and helped make the night a success.

I was REALLY loving the music this time. Brian was right about Bobby & Pat. Those boys are off the hook yet keep ME hooked, tune after tune. :p I can't wait for their set at Mission on Friday! :) [does that sound like shameless promotion? hehe. i really do love those two and that's why i am having them spin at my party! :))

Jason Jollins spun a good set, also. You can't help but notice the talent he has. He doesn't really play my style of music but I can appreciate his skills, regardless. I WAS feeling the end of his set, however, when I felt that he really laid it down.

ALEX PEARCE aka Poppadopalous :p played a KILLER set. It's taken me a while to truly get in the groove with him, I usually don't fully connect with his style but somehow we've reached a closer level lately. I don't know if its my musical tastes or his style that is changing but, either way, it's a good thing! That Cevin Fisher track is RIDICULOUS! I love it! Looking forward to seeing Alex @ Crobar with Palash and Behrouz on the 26th!! Didn't really hear much of Leo G's set but heard positive reviews.

Kind Nick's [sp?] set was really fresh and I was definitely into it.

All in all, despite the HEAT and working the door from 10 pm - 5 am [thanks to Vlad for being my relief a few times], I had a great time! The crowd was really top-notch and I was very pleased with the party. Next month is going to be even better, though. We're going to switch things up a bit and add some new flavor to the mix.

;) wait and see! ;)

I was never told. The closest thing was some Independence Air-guy in JFK, who muttered something about shortage of crew. However, there were flights being cancelled all over the place (I got two cancelled myself), so if shortage of crew was really the explanation there must have been a major bombing at a flight crew party or some similar incident. Being an old cynic myself, I would instead guess that the flights were cancelled because there were too few passengers on them: It's cheaper to put ten people into hotel rooms/change their flights than it is to fly an entire aircraft from one airport to the other.
Actually, I left out a lot of smaller annoyances during my flight (such as being promised a free cab from JFK, which turned out to be a free cab *only* if I would travel all the way to Newark, which makes no sense when I live in Manhattan), and at some points I really wanted to yell at someone - but every employee that you talk to is not responsible for the mess, so you can't really take your anger out on them. (So now I'll just be badmouthing Independence Air to anyone who will listen:p)

Good times once again. Excellent sets from Jason & Alex...you guys had me moving. Left fairly early so didn't hear Leo or Kind Nick but nice to read positive reviews. Looking forward to next month and hopefully will see most of you in attendance at Brees throwdown this Friday.
