| I need to send out four thousand letters as part of an advertising campaign. Any suggestions for a cost-effective way of doing this? Where can i buy 4,000 envelopes? How about the stamps? |

Do you have a laser printer?
edit: nevermind, apparantly Canada Post doesn't offer e-postage/e-stamps |

You should make a game out of it.
See how many envelopes you can lick in an hour, then try to beat it.

Go to Staples Business Depot and buy the envelopes in bulk. I think they sell them in packs of 500 or 1000, and it's not too expensive. Also, get some blank labels there so you can print the addresses and stick em on the envelopes.
And if you don't wanna lick the envelopes (which I don't think you do!), either buy the ones that are already sticky (which will cost a bit more)...or buy a few bottles of envelope sealer (note: applying the sealer stuff will kill your wrists after about 500 envelopes lol...trust me).
The main cost, of course, will be the stamps.
Good luck! :)

Principle Skinner: Oh, licking envelopes can be fun! All you have to do is make a game of it.
Bart: What kind of game?
Principle Skinner: Well, for example, you could see how many you can lick in an hour, then try to break that record.
Bart: Sounds like a pretty crappy game to me.
Principle Skinner : Yes, well... Get started. |

amb knows his ..
they will not laser/insert the mail pieces for you, they will MAIL the mail for you..
meaning 36 cents each.. as upposed to 50 cents postal rate..
your best bet is to find a small provider to do your document printing.. as for your envelopes call up a manufacturer (lithoweb/IBM/direct stream)
check your mastercard/visa/bank/other envelopes when they come in.. they should have a little code or something on them that says who makes the envelopes..
if all else fails.. STAPLES! |

| Sounds like this is gonna cost me around $1.00/package. That is: business name / address from mailing list provider, envelope, letter, business card, stamp and the labor to put it all together. Of the 4,000 companies i need to reach, i have fax numbers for 1,200. Those only cost me about 8.5c/ea. That being said, i went ahead and broadcasted 1,200 faxes for only around $100. That leaves me with another 2,800 companies, which unfortunately, is gonna cost me $2,800. Dammit, if only more companies would publish their fax numbers, i could literally get the job done for TEN TIMES cheaper! |
