Hi people !
We are now in a great period ! cause a lot of new Trance tunes are release and they are simply ... AWESOME ! some examples :

The begining of this year was totally BAD ! only poor tunes progressive... ! but now The real sound of trance come back again ! great ! hope that 2002 will be full of REAL TRANCE !

I agree, we're entering a new good phase for Trance, melodic and epic hits are coming back.
I've heard some specialist say that the progressive phase is coming to an end now, and the uplifting phase is beginning again. |

| woohooo i totally agree about the great period of trance! and i doubt that progressive is coming to an end...it just may lay low for a while. but im a major epic/uplifting fan so bring on the new tracks!! :D:D:D |

yes! because progressive isnt real trance! just cause you dont like it doesnt mean that it isnt trance. if you are going to proclaim that subgenres arent trance, then neither is uplifting. but it would be nice to hear some new stuff, even whether its progessive or not.

| Yeah i agree, 2001 has been a huge year of trance. Not only have we seen great productions from some of the old favourites such as Ferry, Tiesto, and Armin, but we have also seen many other producers do great word, such as Above & Beyond, Wippenberg, and Dumonde. I just hope 2002 takes off where 2001 ends. And i do hope uplifting makes a comeback. |

i REALLY DONT think that progressive phaze is coming to an end...i mean...GU is STILL AROUND and will continue to release quality progressive, and the renaissance sets are quality too....just my opinion though!
i actually listen to more progressive nowadays, probably blame that on the atmosphere, weather,...it just kinda fits: rainy cold weather = dark moody chilled progressive beatzzzz...
as for melodic, epic, and uplifting...well, it's weird how different of a turn around these subgenres have taken since the big trance days of 98-00.....i'm really still much in "love" with the older trance style....but i guess just like anything in the world, music is gonna change and evolve...:clown:

I totally agree too. 4 tunes that did it for me this year are....
1. Mirco De Govia- Epic Monolith (original mix)
2. Nu- nrg- Dreamland
3. Symphony of Strings- Don't Want Your Love (Donald & Giles Mix)
4. Dumonde vs Lange- Memory (jamx and de leon mix)
Makes me wonder why some people ask where has all the good trance gone... I think those people need to dig their ears out of the sand!! |
