it really is a shame too bc a lot of people on these boards have no idea what we're talkin about as they like to go around and trash talk raves like it's their jobs but have prob never even been to one lol.. but i am sure glad i was apart of the NYC rave scene (imo NYC and San Fran held the best underground warehouse parties) in my early 'clubbing' years i met a lot of cool friends, a girlfriend, and later on i moved from the 'techno' genre and found trance then prog trance and so on and so on.. :D |

| i went to Time Machine '04 and that shyt was insane !!! it reminded me of this teen night( more of a raver clubber feel) they threw at the Tunnel back in 2000 or 99 i think it was........ yea so i havent witnessed a vibe as amazing as that until Time Machine, i miss those days...... :( :( :nervous: |

its kind of weird though... nothing like that really exists in these parts anymore, but canada still seems to have a pretty active underground scene, and even the mainstream clubs are very much so rave influenced. i guess alot of it has to do w/ the culture, as you can undoubtidly thank all the new "rave laws" and what not on the downfall of our scene, but nothing like that exists up there. a perfect example of this is when i was leaving wemf 2 weeks ago. i got about 10 minutes away from the festival and this cob at some stoplight drives right up next to me, and naturally i start geekin out as i'm still all sorts of ed up from the night before but i glue my eyes on the road ahead of me, and all of a sudden i hear him honking his horn, at which point i nearly my heart. so i roll down my window and say hello and all he says to me is "what's going on that there is so many american license plates i keep seeing??" all i could do was laugh... he had absolutely no ing idea the world electronic music festival, one of the most cracked out events i have ever attended in my life, just happened not 8 miles away from where he was sitting. if something like that were to be held where i live, i can let you swear to god every ing cop from every municipality in the area would be SWARMING the streets surrounding. this dude had no ing clue! |

| wow man its really cool to hear people talk about Sympty... I used to LOVE thier parties, by far the best crew in the area. I got really cool with Jevic for a while through a mutual friend. I used to look foward to Countdown like it was the ing super bowl. I miss those guys. They just weren't pulling in crowds to make money any more, they had to stop |

| so when was the last countdown party? i didnt go in 2004, and im not sure although i did hear something that countdown happened this year? i would actually go to a countdown party now that i think of it.. |

| Countdown 2003 was the last Countdown. I think after that Sympty threw one more party, I think Mt. Ravemore 2 (on President's Day weekend). They put out a pre-flyer for Countdown 2K4, but the party never took place, that was the last Sympty party. |
