no but still. the principle is if ur infront of a firehydrant your car is fair game for getting destroyed....
maybe i should have set something on fire called the local fire department and had her car destroyed.
i pulled outta my driveway knowing theres no car out there because its illegal for anyone to park there. wasn't looking and she got hit... |

It depends on your local traffic laws.
Here in Columbus, if a car is illegally parked and the cops are called to the scene, the one responsible for the accident is the illegal parker. One of my cars was totaled by a garbage truck and I received no compensation for it because I was parked illegally. I nicked a Saab behind my rented house last year that was parked illegally in the same manner I was. I offered to pay the damage but the guy was a lawyer and wanted me to sign a notorized admission of guilt. I refused, and he called the cops who cited him and sent me on my way. |

ok seriously...i'm an insurance agent...this is what you should do to solve this in the least complicated way...
first off...have her get some kind of estimate before you pay anything and see if it will be worth your while to pay it out of pocket. depending on your current driving record your rate post-accident is gonna suck ballsack, so if you can avoid it...settle it yourself without the insurance company.
if the damage is more than you can afford turn it over to your insurance company.
if you want to be a complete dick about it and there hasn't been any police report filed...you can try to stiff her i suppose, but if she's smart then she'll take you to court and none of us want that now do we...and just so you know if she takes you to court, she was parked in front of the fire hydrant you are most likely going to win depending on your state laws the, but you are going to incur large court fees that would probably be more than fixing the car yourself to begin with...
so i'd just do the first one if you can... |

| or you could ask her out to dinner, and tell her you want to discuss everything about the insurance...take her to some romantic restaurant, order a bottle of pinot noir, get her drunk...and start kinda discussing the insurance stuff but throw jokes or compliment her..if you play your cards right, you might get her to like you..and you will probably get laid... |

tell her you'll pay for it, but only if she goes to dinner with you and then get drunk and let old times resume! hahaha :p |

yeah i mean seriously..she was parked next to a fire hydrant so im guessing shes blonde, really hot...
and dude, havent you thought that maybe this isnt an accident? maybe its destiny..you were meant to hit some hot blonde's car, so you could meet and fall in love, get married and have lots of babies..she could be your future wife and you dont even know it!..but destiny only takes you so far mang..make it happen. |

anyways .. definately depends on where you live .. i forgot my high school civics bull crap, but i think traffic infractions and violations, like speeding, can have state enforced laws outside the federal laws .. the beauty of the us government ..
i say go to the local library, or visit some lawyer you know, and check it out .. what floorfiller says sounds good to me anyways .. |
