Recordig mixes to minidsc

Following on from my question about trying to get rid of the bad "hissing" background interferance, i decided to record direct to minidisc then record this onto my pc to convert to mp3, of which i got more or less a perfect sound quality.
But.......I record the mix but when i got to play it back and it does its 'TOC EDIT' thing then displays 'UTOC ERROR'. What the hell does this mean? This has happend with two of the minidisc playrs i have bought now! |

Did you move the tab over on the mini disc itself? There is a protect tab on the mini disc that will have to be opened in order for you to record on it.
When the screen displays "TOC EDIT" it means that is is editind the Table of Contence.
Either that or there maybe something wrong with the recording settings on your mini disc recorder. What brand is it? |

I've just tried locking it then unlocking the minidisc and it does exactly the sam thing. It must be the minidisc player itself, it is quite an old sharpe one that i borrowed off my brother.
Thanks anyway, i'll have to try something else! |
