argh :whip:
fresh off his Wimbledon win.. he is sidelined from a foot injury. I bought my tickets already for the Tournament final really hoping to see him.. ah well.. Agassi, Hewitt, Roddick, Safin, Johanssen, Henman and a bunch of others are still listed. Will be good regardless. :)

Dear fans
Regrettably, I have to inform you that I will not participate in the Rogers Cup, the ATP Masters Series in Montreal. As you know I have been suffering from pain in my feet for the past six months. An MRI was performed after Wimbledon and the doctors advised me to rest for 4 full weeks. As this period collides with the preparation for Montreal and the tournament itself, I had to take this decision in order to ensure full recovery.
Not being able to compete and trying to defend my title from Toronto does hurt. After all, it is my birthday the first day of the tournament and I also like the province of Quebec a lot. But I am certainly looking forward to playing in Toronto next year.
See you all very soon!

Well Federer is the best and hes got an amazing tennis style to watch, really classic. And this guy will never let a ball go, you see him stretching to the end of his fingers to get it and still manages to place it perfectly on the other side. |

I actually tend to follow the women's circuit more.. but I was never a tennis player myself, just squash & badminton.. hehe
Last year I bought semi-final tickets for the women's tourney here, in sharapova's section, hoping to see her, and she got upset the round before.. grrr
I would have liked to have seen Hingis at least once before she retired.. she was my fav.. another swiss too!
Roddick is pulling out of an LA tourney next week due to injury so looks like he might not play either. |
