| anyone know any good night clubs in Hong Kong? i'll be heading out there pretty soon. i've been to hong kong in the past but never for clubbing. |

| Ah man I wish I could go wit you (My favorite place in the world). When I was thur I picked up a guid about the things there. I remeber that there were extensive amounts of clubs, and there was bound to be some EDM clubs. Also you could probebly Google for the official tourism site for HK, and search there. However you do it, its bound to be easy to search for and find Clubs in Hong Kong. Have fun! |

Best clubs in HK are Volar, Dragon - i, or Drop. Volar plays more electro/trance music but has a very strict entry policy and unless your dressed well and early dont even bother trying to get in. Just last weekend i was there and the players from Manchester United were also inside, so thats the kind of crowd it pulls in. Dragon - i ir notorious for the 'models' who are there almost every night of the week. There are a lot of European/Asian models in HK who like too party there as they get free drinks. Music is mainly house and occasioanly some big acts play there. Most recently were the cuban brothers. Drop is the afterhours club but once again it is mainly a members only club, but sometimes they are relaxed abt who goes inside. Apart from that there are more smaller clubs and bars in Lan Kwai fong area to choose from.Volar, Dragon i and Drop are all in Lan Kwai Fong too.
so where are you from and how long will you be in hk for. Im English but have lived here my whole life. Am 20 now. |

The whole hk clubbing scene is so corrupted that I have no recommendation as a TA. You can only find Hip-hop playing in major clubs with very, very few alternative that playing various styles all in one set. Local resident DJ here usually does not have a specific style. So you can hardly expect what you will listen that night.
There are some very very underground party still playing trance but some are pretty private and hard to find.
Clubs that you may happen to listen 4-beats dance tracks are Club-Nu, Volar, Joint 15, PP. But mostly you will listen breaks and other stuffs mixing up together and may I remind you that trance are very rarely heard and esp. the trance talking in TA.
