I was kinda thinkin the same thing....
FYI for those of you who don't know At Kabuki's if you order 3 non speicalty rolls they are half off!!! But that is per person. So if you have 4 people at a table you need to have 12 rolls. That is a lot of FOOD!! but it is so cheep!!! They can also hold a big group of people.. However I don't think this place will allow loud saki (sp) bombs and guys pucking on the table ( you do not know how Embarrassing that was for me.... and Armin and Markus where there too:nervous: Oie!) |

If you have 4 people at a table (for example) and you have one check, then you should technically only have to order 3 rolls off the 50% discount menu, after which every additional roll that is ordered from the reduced menu should automatically be 50% off. Naturally items that are not on the reduced menu would be full price.
I ate there virtually every week day for a bout 6 months when I was based on Sunset and Ivar. :) |

i agree! and their pizza is awesome, along with the eclectic menu and cool outdoor patio.
michelle, a couple of my fav spots in hollywood:
the best, cleanest and most quality mexican cantina i have ever been to (good drinks, cool vibe, can hold big parties, affordable, QUALITY):
- el compadre, on sunset blvd
another one:
-Indigo , on melrose (i know the owner and am sure i could put you in touch and he'd hook it up nice)
very cool spot, some of the best food in la, full bar, outdoor seating as well
i have taken almost every DJ that has come through, to this place and they all have LOVED it
your doing a great job at rallying the troops!!

Michelle, I just called the owner of Indigo, recently changed ownership and name has changed to "Joey B's.
His name, is Joey B. :D
I told him to expect a call from you...
I don't know if you already got on it, or if its just coincidental, but they already had someone call to book a big party there on aug 6th...
Anyway, they have drinks and appetizers ranging from $2.00 - $20.00.
They have pasta, salads, mexican, pizza, amazing chicken, vegetables, sides, american food, really it has justa botu a lil bit of everything, but the best of every world.
This is one of my top 5 spots in L.A.
I definitely recommend it!

| awwwwwwwwwwww me want sushi! i once ate 68 pieces of sushi at an all-you-can-eat sushi. i went there so much that they started to put more rice in the rolls to get me full faster. :whip: anyways, DUDE, im going to have to miss out both. seems like everyone is goin outta town that weekend. i was looking forward to meeting yall. im goin to washington state, roadtrip style. 1200 miles baby! :( |

Update:
I called Joey B's- Right now there is some one else that has a big group of people comming in at the same time we would (6:30) Joey is checking on that for me and will be getting back to me. A menu is also being faxed over as well :)
I also called Kabuki's on Sunset- They had room for us so I put my name down just in case. I told them 25 people at 6:30 with a 2 hr din-in time.
There are a couple other places I need to look at. |
