Small city wish

I live at other side of Lake Ontario(in the States). I go to New York City or Toronto for proper EDM parties. I don't drive. I usually take greyhound for my EDM party experiences. I have heard that some EDM related artists(Sasha and Digger, Max Graham, and DJ Dan(the recent one)) have made their tours in years from 2000 to 2005. But, my town is dead place for having good EDM parties. Of course, there are some good underground DJs in my town. I don't have any chances to get to listen some of them. I wish I wouldn't need to go to NYC or Toronto for experience proper EDM parties someday. I wish I would have some proper EDM parties in my town. No more ear-bleeding from dull rock, hip-hop, and R&B(I am not against with them. But too much rock, hip-hop, and R&B make me feel bored.)

P.S The club in my town where Max Graham has played few yrs ago is now turned as some kind of the restaurant. Sad story.

Collingwood, the small town where I live, has been seeing A LOT of trance lately. It's wonderful.

Really makes me smile. Even at the mountain, my too buddies Matt Marshall (Matt) and Nathan (djn8goulet) have been spinning.

It's ing phenominal and I am very happy they are able to perform in the place where they live. It's wonderful.

Sorry to hear man that you're not as fortunate where you live... up until last Oct. it was EXACTLy the same here, so I know and understand your pain! :(

I am not against with Hip Hop and RnB.

It's just that they are too much in my town.

Same thing in my city (Moncton). The only club that plays any EDM is Triangles which is a gay bar. Which I do go there because I need my trance fix. Not gay btw ;) The 4 major clubs we have here play either country or r&b. I would rather stab myself than listen to country.
:nervous: And the university radio station does play about 2-3 hours of dance/edm music every Saturday night.
Thankfully I have found some cool friends here that have house parties and play lots of EDM or DJ themselves. And I recently took a friend of mine to this bar one night that my friend was DJ'ing at and I think I may have converted her to listening to hard trance. I put a House CD on in her car the other day on the way to the beach and she says, "I don't like this as much, I like the harder stuff." I was like wooooaaaaaaa :eyespop: So happy!!!
All the people I know that like EDM in my city are gay or are male. No gf's to share it with :(

I live in Windsor and we have the same problem here. Sometimes we can go to Detroit for parties...but it's not the same, I don't really like it. A little while back, we had a decent club...well I wouldn't even say decent, we had a club that would get DJS in. They'd bring Mark Oliver, Steve Porter etc. once in awhile...so that was good...that place shut down though...bu rumor has it they're re-opening in Sept. I hope so! It's a nice change from the crap bars we have here.
Also, there used to be a small lounge that my DJ friend used to spin at all the time and I would hang out at almost every weekend for awhile...he unfortunatly moved to Toronto though, and I don't really go there anymore.
You're not alone outthere...hopefully things'll start changing, and EDM will take over the world!!
