If you've ever been to prison, then you quickly learn it is designed to torture and demean you. Here are a couple of stories from when I went to prison.
I was tortured because I refused to be tortured. When they transport you to and from prison they first put hand cuffs and ankle cuffs on you (with a chain attaching both together), in order to put the ankle cuffs on they have you kneel on a bench with your feet sticking out over it.
Knees are sensitive. They are not designed to support your weight like that. For added effect the bench is made out of thin metal bars that cause the pressure on your knee caps to be multiplied. Its quite painful. I.e. the process is designed to torture you.
After I'd gone through this a couple of times I decided to refuse to put my knees up there at the same time. I would keep one foot down so that I could keep most of my weight on it. This was not allowed. In order to demonstrate that this was not allowed the officer doing the cuffing, cuffed my ankle as tight as he could go, so tight that it was extremely painful, and for the 45 min ride from jail to court the pain was awful, but sitting in the back of a paddy wagon there is absolutely nothing I can do.

As for demeaning things. Here's a random example. At court, when you come from prison they stick you in a holding cell with other inmates. Usually for about 4 hours or so as you each get your 5 minutes in front of the judge. If you have to go to the washroom, there is a toilet in the room. It is just a toilet, in the sense that there is no privacy at all, no barriers of any kind. Just a toilet sitting there. Taking a crap is a private thing. I assure you taking one in front of 10 strangers doesn't make you think that the legal system has any interest in treating you like a human. |

| I had razor wire shoved up my arse once; They told me it was going to be a gerbil! hahaha, Those inmates, always cracking jokes. Once I dropped the soap & all the other inmates started bending over & they weren't even near the soap hahaha. good times. |

one time a friend got busted for soliciting a prostitute. well, as luck would have it, it happened on a friday night and the courts were closed on monday for the july 4th holiday. thus, he couldn't go before the judge until tuesday.
anyway, he gets hauled off to the county jail and is thrown in a room with about 40 other degenerates. to make matters worse, there were only five toilets lined up against the wall, all in the open. this was summer, you understand, so it smelled like death in there. he was a trooper tho. he had to crap on friday, but he held it in. on saturday, it was a bigger challenge but he was an ex-high school athlete, so he tuffed it out. on sunday, he started experiencing severe stomach pains. by monday, he was seriously gophering. on tuesday he cried. but he learned his lesson though cos now he only gets dates on an empty stomach. |

Also after 20 years in jail I learnt a lesson. It's not worth going to jail over a human liver sandwich. Sure it may taste terrific, but 20 years of BOBO pounding my arse took a tole. Now I can never sit down again. I'm forever standing. Even now as I type this message i am standing. & I'm also hungry.

| a friend of mine works in a prison. occasionally he tells me stories about the inmates, like what they're in for and stuff that goes on. i know one of the inmates was a crooked cop. he was on the force for awhile and i guess he put away some big time crooks. they sentenced him to a prison that was out of state because there was a 100% chance that he would get killed in his home state's prison. |

Yeah prison is a crazy place. Dealing with race riots, Gladiator fights and booty bandit's is not that fun.
The cool thing about prison is they give you alcohol like Pruno and drugs like meth and coke if your in a gang inside of prison.
For the most part in prison well atleast Cali prisons they separate the races so you don't really have problems but once you hit the yard all hell could break lose in a matter of seconds. |

SHHH dont tell anyone but ive been through the system. Rough times and stupid mistakes...but anyway here is the story....
Got locked up for a fight which later turned into robbery as well because the people that were with me stole items from the people we beat up. I was 16 turning 17 at the time so I went to juvenile and it wasnt too bad since I was very friendly with the staff I got the hook ups, I was the only whote girl in there so I got the name "white girl" but it was cool cuz no one really ed with me. Later another white girl was transfered in it was the 14 year old "called the baby faced murderer" who was an acomplace to a murder in NY's central park, she was mad cool though and I have been in touch with her still now and then since.
Court was a bitch, I was in the precent for 2 days with no shower and having the eyes of officers watching me the whole time even while I peed cuz there was no room for me in central booking to be charged. At tuna sandwiches for breakfast lunch and dinner and had nothing to drink but coffee but i took what they have me. Since i was underage i coulndt be placed in a cell so I was hancuffed and shacles to a office chair with no arms rests and wheels on it and it was rather uncomfortable. The only thing I had for entertainment was the new and occasionally other convicts coming in and trying to hit on me which was hilarious. So I finally get to booking and I am locked in a cell with 5 prostities they told me I was cuz and I should work for theyre pimp HAHAHA, so after that I go to juvy.
Court was a bitch, hancuffs and shakles as well there and back and wearing a skirt and having the skales cut your ankles while you walk was killing me. Getting remanded was a complete waste of time, you sit at booking all day to find out the judge wont even see you and you get sent back, so I got time server while I was there and was sentenced after i turned 18, my accomplace was bitching out and trying to pin everything off on me cuz thats what his lawyer told him to do. that is why the case took so long. So im sentenced to 18 months and them get transfered to rikers to serve the rest of my time since it was so short they didnt feel the need to send me upstate cuz rikers is for short term bids and holding in between cases.
The chicks there were more hardcore than the guys, since this facility was for adults you would think they would be more civil but NOOOOO, fights everyday, loosing all of our privelages to dumb asses. Some chick smacked another bitch up using the cable box so we lost our cable. I got into a fight and the bitch tried to poke me in the face with a metal fork she snached from one of the staff that was eating lunch, luckily i blocked it with my forearm but I now have a 3 pronged scar there as a reminder of it.
Ive got way more stories but Id be here typing 18 months worth of em. Any questions :D :p |
