Actually... Nitrogen, Oxygen and Hydrogen are abundant in the atmosphere, but it takes more than just its presence to change the chemical composition. Im pretty sure you would need a significant change in temperature to affect the pills. Also, Im sure that the pills were in a little plastic baggie, which does not 'breathe' so air will not get in nor will it get out. |
unfortunatly i left two pills outside my house one time after comin home from a night out. i then found them in powder form all ed up from the sprinklers. |

good question, i was wondering this as well.
i had an MDMA capsule for a while, 4-5 months.
i took it and it lasted just shy of 4 hours but the roll wasn't as intense as i hope it to be. oh well..... |

They really dont go bad. They just loose their potency. |
isn't that the same thing though?
ALL manufactured drugs have a shelf life. I don't personally know what the shelf life is for MDMA but someone else here said it loses it's potency after 6 months... you can probably find out on erowid or something.
the thing that degrades most drugs the fastest is water and heat, and sometimes light (not all drugs are light sensitive). i doubt you have anywhere in your home that has controlled humidity and temperature, so it has probably been exposed to moisture for the two years. the excipients and the active ingredients in a tablet will equilibrate at some given water content, which won't be 0%.
this is a totally wild guess, but i would speculate that e has a farily long shelf life, since it comes from a family of drugs that is relatively stable. for a manufactured drug, a super long shelf life is 4 or 5 years. |

| As far as I know they won't go bad, so you should be alright. Take em and see. ;) |

How should I store MDMA and 2C-T-7 over longer periods of time? In the refrigerator? Do these chemicals decrease in quality over time? How long can I store them?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Both MDMA and 2C-T-7 are phenethylamines. In general, the phenethylamines as a class are quite stable molecules.
Peyote buttons which are hundreds or even thousands of years old have been found by archaeologists and analyzed in labs, and these buttons still contained about the same ammount of mescaline as you would expect to find in a freshly dried button. Alexander Shulgin has remarked that if MDMA had existed in the time of the pharaohs and buried in the pyramids, it would still be good today. Regarding 2C-T-7, I asked Dr. Shulgin about its shelf life and he remarked that he once analyzed a 15 year old sample of the chemical and found that it had degraded very little, if any.
MAPS has a supply of MDMA for research that was manufactured by Dr. David Nichols and subsequently stored in a safe at Purdue University. When Dr. Nichols tested this supply for purity in 1994 -- eight years after it was synthesized -- it showed no indication of deterioration.
If stored in a cool, dry and closed container such as an amber glass vial (avoid excessive heat, light or moisture), its safe to assume that MDMA and 2C-T-7 will both last longer than you will.

Key word is sprinklers, the moisture dissolved the pill. You dont need to be a genius to figure that out. But his pills were in his room, in a plastic baggy, there are no outside forces that can affect them. |
