This new Razr was on the front page of the Report on Business (globe and mail) yesterday... sexy little thing. Hopefully it will cost less than a Blackberry!

Whats with the hype over this device. The announce it now but wont launch till mid 1st quarter of next year. I hope RIM responds with a new device too.

It won't kill BlackBerry in the least. The reason BB is so huge isn't because of their handhelds, it's because of the infrastructure they've created. What most companies are doing now, rather than competing with this system, is creating great handhelds like this that will run through BlackBerry Connect. It's like a gateway for 3rd parties like Motorola/Microsoft to run on BlackBerry Enterprise Servers and on the BlackBerry network.

Let's be honest.... people are blinded by gizmos and gadgets but fail to see the importance of the back-end. Security and processing efficiency goes out the window...
