Suggestions for making a compilation?

For the past couple of years, I have to making compilations for my friends and aquantances who have not been able to grace the awesomeness of trance, and in turn are still listening to rap, pop, and pop rock (in other words, I am trying to save their souls :) )
Lately, I have been using Mixmeister3 to accomplish the beatmatching and fading, but do these things at a very basic level. Aside from making a good track list and making sure the tracks go together without sounding like crap, it is pretty plain.
Any suggestions on how I could make things better? |

suggestion 1) try some johan geilen style scratching, =P
suggestion 2) leave them alone to their music. one genre is just as good as the next. just leave them be. rap, rock, pop... whatever.. music is good, =P. |
