i've always thought his voice was pretty annoying, but i did enjoy seeing his band Zwan perform live a few years ago. |

Future Embrace Corgan's solo album is nice but haven't given it complete listens yet.
He was the feature interview in the last issue of Remix magazine and the best quote from the itw was " If it wasn't difficult it would already have been done ". He mentionned how much work they did to try and pull away from the classic chorus verse chorus verse chorus curse of rock in it's present state. There's also a lot of work that was put into trying to create entirely new sounds.
Despite trying to set himself apart from the Pumpkins's the album still totally reaks of them ( Adore and The Machines Of God album the post-early Pumpkins albums ). I don't know if it's simply vocal assimilation due to the fact his voice is like no other but all I can say is I wish I could hear a dub of the tracks and see if I could see recognize that good 'ole Billy Corgan through all the sounds.
Lastly I feel as if creating albums with nitty gritty electronics is becoming a new fade, ironically building a trend when various artists were trying to pull left of center. Nine Inch Nails last album also comes to mind; yet another artist who did the cover of Remix magazine; that speaks a lot about the trend if passé rock artists are starting to make cover of an electronical music oriented magazine. |

Emotive?
well it is not as strong as the first 2 cds.
matter of fact on first listen. i only really loved
What's Going On, pure fecking bliss. better then the original.
after a couple of listens.
Passive, which was also played in Constantine, got better.
Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie, so fecking dark and slow.
Imagine and What's So Funny 'Bout Peace Love And Understanding started doing it for me.
Counting Bodies Like Sheep, their own remix of Pet. great remix at that.
the other songs have that APC touch, but still just meh.
BTW Gavin Rosedale started a new band, but i can't find anything on them. they are touring already feck. :stongue: must not be that good... |
