Frou Frou - Let Go (Remix Cabability?)

Does anyone else think that this song has great remix potential into a nice, deep, progressive track? The bass line is so fat and the vocals are so soft and sullen. I really think someone could do something with it. Since I'm not a producer, I don't exactly know what, but I definitely think it has great potential.. and , I'd love to hear something done to it in the club environment.

hey excellent idea.
i love this song and have thought about a remix before for this song. it's a beautiful track and the vocals are so different than most today. personally, it sounds like something that i think G&D should take a stab at. |

| well i agree that given the right touch it could be a good remix. but i really don't want to see it ruined either...which i have the feeling that it probably would. |

i got to disagree on that one...i don't think they could improve a tune like that...the song is already great and a couple of their remixes like the sarah mclachlan one didn't really do anything for the song imo... |

no no i'm not saying that ANYONE could improve the song whatsoever. there really is no "improving" that song i think it's perfect as it is. i'm saying that if someone wanted to mix it into something trance like that it already has the sound to it similiar to other of G&D's work that they've remixed. which is why i think they'd be able to remix it best IMO.
and are you talking about the mix to "Fallen" by sara mclachlan? |

yeah that's the one i'm talking about. i dunno...i mean i don't dislike G&D...they have done some good work. but their fallen remix...which kinda has soft vocals similar to let go...i just didn't see it as very impressive...all they did was had a little bassline and some pads and that was it...i'd just like to see someone else do it if it were to be done... |

sorry but i have to disagree there :)
the buildup at the ending of Fallen is amazing and then it just pounds stronger and louder as it finishes out. i remember the first time i listened to it which was in my car driving and i couldn't believe the sounds i heard!
oh well i still look forward to watching you dance like a n00b in a few weeks :D |

This was my favorite song for about a month and I do think its great the way it is, but I think that someone should take a shot at remixing.

i'm not sure whats going on, but i can tell you that g&d is no longer listed for the 20th on vinyl's website...a quick check of g&d's website shows the denver date still up, however i dont frequent it that much so i dont know how often it gets updated....
long story short i dunno if they're still playin that night:p:(
