I bought this USB wifi adapter the other day:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5792336422&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT

I was under the impression this was the only thing i needed to connect my psp to wifi (my computer has broadband) but I cannot get it to to work. I don't even know if I've 'activated' the adapter properly.

I've installed it and the software (ZyDas wireless ZD config) and I've tried playing about with all the settings but to no joy.

When the adapter is plugged in the little wireless logo comes up in the toolbar. It has always had the red, 'not connected' cross over it so I guess its never been connected.#

Does anyone know if the logo will only ever show as connected when its successfully connected to the PSP or should it be connected all the time via my broadband connection.

someone please help me. I've spent hrs and hrs playing around with my firewall settings, windows LAN settings, bridging and unbridging connections etc.

Do I need something else to connect? I would be REALLY GRATEFUL for any help anyone can give me.

Does anyone know any definitive website that can help?

Everytime I try and use repair this (wifi) connection I get 'cannot repair as cannot access the wireless network'

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

PSP comes with built in WiFi, nothing else is needed. I believe the device is turned off by default from Sony in order to save battery life. You turn it on from the setup menu on the main menu of the PSP. After that you do a bit of configuring with the PSP and then you should be connected.

I tried it at my friend's house to get the update patches for Wipeout Pure and it worked perfect. I can't wait for the firmware upgrade 2.0 to be released soon, web browser will be integrated. :D
