real deal hip hop however is really dope. It's basically breaks hence the term break dancing.

orignial hip hop DJ's didn't have "hip hop records" they took some popular club songs and rock and would only find the breaks and play that just to keep the party hype. MC's came way after that.

get some tight breaks and some house and any true hip hop crowd will be jumping up.

If you look at the DMC championships (some of the more hardcore hip hop heads) they incorporated 80's, Rock, Techno, Electro, House all sorts of things to make a short tight set.

The sad part is that most clubs that play "hip hop" or "reggaeton" aren't real hip hop at all. They just like to hear the stuff on the radio. Doesn't even matter if it's mixed.

If i was hired to play EDM then i will stick with EDM (as would anyone). But if i got hired to play all around and was really in the mood for EDM (which im always) and the crowd seems to like it, then i'll just tell her to get away or ill thrown down some happy hardcore and really piss her off and most likely a whole lot of other people :whip:

Amen to that!
If we are talking real Hip Hop you might as well throw in some of the great Electro Tracks like Alaafysh, Clear, Juice and so on... Or go way back like Michael Viners incredible Bongo Band or groups like Babe Ruth or the Meters... or even James Brown!

Graff breakin etc....

yeah, normally i wouldn't have played at the place i did, (but they HAVE, in fact, had a couple of international DJs there...), but i did it for free, for a friend's bday party. she, and our group were having a lot of fun, yet, you DO get those retards that see a DJ with 4 decks, spinning techno, acid and electro, and go up to ask him for reggaeton.

if only she wouldn't have been so nice about it, or so hot, i could've told her to off. but alas... i'm a sucker for a pretty face i guess.

i think i would first tell her to come back later then whenver i saw her put my headphones on and ignore her...problem solved :happy2:
