» Rhythm is a dancer - Snap: Without the rise of eurodance in the early 90's, the housefied forms of trance, the so-called "epic/uplifting/melodic/massive trance", woulnd't probably exist, since they started as an offshoot of that genre.

» Stay - Sash: Can't remember what this one is like, but Sash was alright.

» sandstorm - darude: Classic. Nothing wrong here. Or do you really think "Rank 1 - Airwave" would be a better example? You didn't mention it. Everybody's heard Sandstorm at some point in their lives, and Darude did this in his basement: pure hotness.

» ecuador - sash: I can't see this being less of a trance tune than some productions from, let's say, System F. It's just happier, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

» played a live - safri duo: Safri Duo? hmm... they had a good trance tune whose name I can't remember, but it's trance, probably.

» 9 pm - atb: Definitely a hybrid of Balearic House and Epic Trance. Trance, nonetheless.

» lethal industry - tiesto: I remember I heard it once but didn't like it. Well, Tiesto is supposedly the world's most famous trance DJ, so I'd guess it's trance.

» something - lasgo: This is trance, actually, despite of what purists might say. It has ALL possible objective characteristics necessary to be labelled along with your standard vocal trance - it just happened to get too popular.

» resurrection - ppk: It's, as I recall it, trance as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Overall: They're trance and, even though they're not actually classics in an artistic sense, this word is often a misused term, which people use whenever a tune please them a lot, Orbital32 hit the nail on the head there. And I'd say there's nothing wrong with his taste. As for him not being accurate with identities, artists should never be the focus so I wouldn't say there's a big problem.

Show him the thread, he might be glad to know the history behind some of these tunes :) Does he speak English? Yo podria escribir todo en espaņol para que el sepa lo que estamos diciendo, aun que mi espaņol no sea bueno...

edit: He's got "Age of Love" on the list. Nice call ;) And he's seen the thread already, meh.

you're the real n00b in life in general, though... cause you still haven't learned the phrases "tastes differ" and "everyone's entitled to an opinion". and wanting to go to another person's forum/site to tell him that you think he's a noob cause your opinions don't match his/hers - well, that makes you a very sad ing noob. i also bet that if you post your top 10, you can find 3 billion people on earth to tell you that your musical taste is full of , and at least a hundred - on these boards.

nothing personal:p
