Sorry to tell you this bud, but reason isn't a vst..
MClass Compressor rocks as does the new combinator.. 1 track for all the synths inside makes changing the score layout for layed sounds a breeze!
could really do with a standalone hipass filter tho.. :S |

wow good question actually...i always knew reason3 never supported vst instruments...but i wouldnt know how to explain it clearly
so!!!....off to google i go..and bam wham...VST:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_Studio_Technology
basically vst instruments are something you load into a program...so its external to the actual application...in reason you already have all the instruments in the application and you cant load vsts |
|

| btw i guess to be technically correct, instead of application i should say VST host...the program that hosts the vst instrument (cubase, fruity..etc) |

very true. As amazing as the program is, I often get annoyed by the lack of a highpass on the filter module. |

| i found plenty of ways to have a high pass effect, for example stereo imager has similar functions, and if u need some specific filtering it is always possible to connect it manually in some unorthodox way |

i know what you mean by it's not a VST but is more of a fully stand alone music production instument as it states on the front cover.
although it has rewire which sort of makes a small relation to the VST family.
try to not think reason as a vsti but as a stand alone music production instrument. |

I tell you what, REASON 3.0 would be an absolute killer rewired with ABELTON 4 OR 5.
IMAGINE!!!!!!!! |
