Sup guys,
i know this is probably way off topic.
was wondering if any TAs has been to GOA?
thinking of spending the new year over there.
1. Whats the weather like over there in December?
2. Is it busy during the new years?
3. whats the party scene, dance scene like?
4. is it a popular youth destination?
5. any better destination suggestions?
I've kindda got my mind set on spending new years in BALI indonesia, its marvelous, however, i been there plenty and wanted a change.
Your input is highly appreciated!
Cheers! |

1) dry and in the 90's almost every day.
2) perhaps for the european visitors, but india has a different new year.
3) very vibrant. ever heard of a goa/psy trance. lots of drugs there.
4) popular college-type crowd.
5) ibiza |

hehe, thats what i thought too.
However, i got one more question. I read on the news about a new Indian governer of GOA that banned all trance parties from the beaches "FOR GOOD". Due, to complains from local residences, schools etc. all over Anjuna beach or whatever its called.
this is fairly recent from Feb, 2005.
So, what do u guys think? is it still worth it? |

hahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaahhaahahhaahaha
thats funny.
BTW: ibiza is overpriced and far too commercial. at least goa has some history - goa made itself. ibiza was made. |

GOA is it for New years. Have been goin there past couple of new years and cant rave enough bout it. Perfect beaches, amazing ppl from all over the world, yes lots of Psy (Infamous for its moonlight and forest raves). But we were the first ones to organize a week long House/Progressive day/night event on Anjuna and Baga beaches last year. We'll be doing the same this new year too. Sad m in New york now, so not sure if i'll be able to make it this year. Weather is just perfect there in december, its not at all commercial and very very natural and a different experience than anywhere in the world.
Just do a google image search for "Baga Beach" "Anjuna beach" and "Goa Rave" or something and you'll have an idea.
Read this with peace. Goa forever.
