Hello,
Firstly what do you think of the mixer below: PMC - 17A??
Secondly,
they have a per each channel 3 band equalizer, one hi low and mid right? aren't they also called kill switches??
Well thank You |

kill switches are not the same as equalizers. The equalizer lets you adjust the level of each band in many steps, whereas the kill switch "kills" that band, meaning it lowers the level of the bass/mid/high as much as the filter is able to.
Don't know anything about that mixer, sorry. But there are enough Vestax users in here. |

Ok,
i get what your saying,
but i reply like this,
if the equalizer knobs knock off some frequencys, and the kill switches also knock off the same amount of frequencys'. not saying they do, but if they do, i would be right in saying that the so called equalizer knobs are kill switches??? |

sorry...maybe i wasn't clear enough. The kill switches ARE equalizers, with the only exception that you can only turn them on and off, and not adjust them. With the bass eq you can change the bass to -2db, -4db or -7db or whatever. With the kill switch you can only change the bass to -16db or whatever the value of this particular kill switch is. It is a "SWITCH" = on/off
got it?
the equalizers are NOT switches, thus not kill switches either. |
