| How old would one need to be to bartend in the US, or more specifically, Washington state? Ironically, I don't drink anymore, but it seems like it pays well. |

In NYC I know alot of people who got licenses and they were all 18. But then again I know alot of people who do this without a license because that's just the way some works here. My good friend worked as one in this bar and was making about 200 a night on a good night. I had his study book and it was a little tough. There's a lot of you need to know besides mixing coctails and all. Also here you gotta pay for the license. Sorry it's not much info about your state but i thought id chip in my 2 cents hehe. |

| Yea, i think you need to take a class of 2 or more weeks for like $500 to $800 to get a license if i remember, as a few people i know told me. |

I think you can enter bartending school at 18...i've seen the adverts for it on TV...

classes are free here, it's the license you gotta pay for. and believe me bartenders make it back in matter of days/good nights. |

| Don't even BOTHER trying to bartend in Washington State, man. I know SO many people who have bartending licenses... and NOBODY is hiring. It's a flooded market, here. (Olympia, Tacoma, and Seattle are packed with people who could bartend if only there were a need for the skill.) |
