Groovetickets Photo Contest
Maybe you've gone digital. Maybe you're still stuck on the short-lived Kodak Advantix drop-in loading film trend (I was until I lost the camera). Maybe you rock the disposable because you're afraid of losing the camera (see above). Maybe your phone is your camera. We don't care how it is you take your photos, we just want your best. Don't let summer 2005 pass you by without filmic documentation. And when you've snapped your best pics of the season, send them to us. The photographer behind the best photos of the summer will win a fabulous twenty pack of CDs from Ultra Records, including the latest, Ultra. Weekend. You have until September 7th so start snapping now!
Sometimes the best summer memories are from a night when you spontaneously went to that underground house party. Others come from the rave you bought your tickets for in May. Sometimes holiday weekends – Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day (plus Canada Day and Simcoe Day up north) – provide the best opportunity for the perfect photo. You can send us a single photo or a series, just make sure to tell us how you want it considered. With the deadline not until Wednesday, September 7th, you have time to include your Labor Day pics.
We encourage your creativity, and enjoy posed photos but generally cringe from America's Funniest Home Video-style staged bloopers. Bob Saget we ain't. Snaps of sexy people won't necessarily win, but if those sexy people are single and you include their phone numbers, we can't say it would hurt your chances. Similarly, while we enjoy The Cobra Snake and his Terry Richardson aspirations, crotch shots don't automatically appeal to us.
Ultra Groove Summer Photos Contest Rules
• Entries must be sent to [email protected] and received by Wednesday, September 7th 2005
• List the following information per each entry:
1. full name
2. city of residence
3. contact phone number AND email address
4. name of people in each photograph (if known)
5. event and location depicted in photograph
• Entries may consist of a single photograph or a series of no more than four photographs. There is no entry limit per person.
• If you think a glamourous, debauched, heartfelt, or otherwise compelling story will help your chances, do tell! If you lie about it, you may indeed go to hell or at least destroy your karma and chances of ever finding happiness.
• Photos must be resized to be no larger than 150K in either .gif or .jpg format.
• Paper entries are not accepted. This is 2005, people!
• The winning entrant will receive a variety pack of CDs furnished by Ultra Records. Selections in this package are subject to change at any time at the discretion of Ultra and/or GrooveTickets.
• Photographs depicting illegal activities will be disqualified and sent to your mom.
• All entrants must be at least age 18.
• Winning contestant must be a music fan and resident of the United States, Puerto Rico, or Canada.
• All entries become the property of GrooveTickets and may be edited or modified and reposted on our site. |
