Ok I know most of you can't listen to this station, but in 2002 there's gonna be a new station called KRadio in the east midlands area of the UK and it's either gonna play heavy metal/punk pop or dance, it would be so cool to have a radio station that didn't play the same repetitive cheese over and over again! If you write to them telling them what they should play then the most popular style by the end of december is gonna be what there gonna play... This is what I put...
Hi! Just wanna put some Points and suggestions across about Kradio...
I think Kradio should play more dance music, becuase it's a fact of life that all radio stations just play the same pop/commercial stuff all the time with the exception of some Radio 1 shows and it's essential mix, both of which have proved highly popular becuase it's about the only station that doesn't just play the same chart stuff over and over again. It's also hard to deny that many people feel this way. Whatever music your into everyone knows that the radio in general it well known for its lack of musical styles, this is why so much gets repeated. My local radio station 'Leicester sound' has one dance music show every week which only plays the same commercial cheese all the time! The faustrating thing is that Radio stations think that the have to play the more chart oriented music to win listeners. This couldn't be futher from the truth. Yes many people like pop music but many are also into other styles such as trance/hard house/ etc..which almost never get played on the radio and if they do it's just the same stuff everyones heard before. In my opinion students are more into these styles than chart material. Most are either into dance or rock which never get a say in these days. I think radio stations are really loosing out by not playing these styles. Personally Iam really into Trance, but I realise that your not just gonna play this! I just think it would be cool if Kradio
played a wide range of styles that you havn't neccerserally heard before. Like you could do a DJ mix like the Radio 1 essential mix.
