Thanks for everyones input, it was much appreaciated. I chose to sign in Greece, in Thessaloniki to be precise. The deal was way to good to pass up and the oportunity for bigger contracts in the future is huge.

I'll be leaving around the mid of September so it looks like LoL will be my last party with the TAs for 7 months. see you all this friday at Syatem!!

i was just there last thurs.... nice city. pretty clean by greek standards as well. ALso you have chalkadiki about an hour away with lots of nice beaches. May i suggest Kalithea since it has the clearest water ive ever seen. Lots of families though but still quite a few young people at the cafes at night. A good hotel apartment cost us about €70 a night and that was sleeping 5 of us which is not bad considering it was a beachfront view with a kitchen. You can get one up the mountain in the town for €35 a night. Still its quite expensive compared to what greece was like before the € kicked in.

Have something wrapped in a pita topped with chips for me!!! :) Just make sure you tell them to leave the ketchup and mustard off. Something about those condiments on a greek pita just isnt right!!! Oh and have lots of pizza before you go because the greek version is made with ketchup LOL

I miss that place already

PS: Sunny beach near Bourgas in Bulgaria is not that far if you want a crazy party place thats pretty cheap as well. Although im not sure if it will still be rockin in sept but its worth a shot. If not its worth the dip in the Black sea!!

I heard they have digweed there in a week or two (ON THE BEACH!)

Wicked, thanks for the info Jay. If anyone is planning on going to Greece within the next 8 months or is gonna be near, drop by, i have a 2 bedroom studio so they'll be plenty of room.

Nick, i'm playing pro volleyball

EDIT: Jay whats the price of food like there anyways? the team is giving me money for food but it would be nice to have a better feeling for it, also how expensive is gas? I'm also getting a car so i wouldn't mind doing some travelling..

With a flat like that hopefully you will have a car. Then you can spend the day at Kalithea and drive back. Trust me..you'll love that beach!

Here are some pics of Kalithea (chalkadiki) (the view from our apartment hotel:

good good , good call.
The chicks are godesses.
Osrry to but in the conversation butr I can say:
Price varies .9X to !.0X from gas at Shell and BP.
I'd say food is cheep
booze toif you get it from the greek verion "convenient stores"
Booze in clubs is $$ with the CAN-EUR exchange.
CLothes are expensive, but nice (again with CAN-EUR exchange.)
Hope that helps!

You can get a pita for around €2 and it will fill you up. Food is still quite cheap. Gas is expensive. About the same price here per litre but in Euros. So imagine around 90 euro cents a litre (50 percent more). It cost around $55 canadian to fill up a honda civic. But everything is close by anyways so dont worry. If you can get a Diesel or natural gas car.
