Fl Studio playlist question

Hey I appreciate all the quick responses last time. Anyways, in FL Studio, when I'm trying to sequence my patterns, I'm having trouble with the drawing tool. I've used Acid Pro to piece together loops before and I'm looking for something similar to thier "Grid Spacing" option. In FL Studio I cant seem to (for lack of better phrasing) paint in the little boxes evenly so the song is on beat. What am I doing wrong, and do I have to paint each little square individually or is there a way to just drag a pattern (for instance a drum loop) all through the song?

eh I kinda got it, you just have to be really easy with it

Hey. This is a pretty simple issue to contend with (one that Image-Line shouldnt make people contend with however). Theres a black dropdown box somewhere on the right side of your screen with the controls. Click on it and click 'Line'. That box controls the snapping rules and Line makes it so it conforms to a measure on the playlist and a note in the piano roll. See image:

Hope this helped :).

Cheers,

Hey. I just tried to compare both and honestly, I cant tell a difference. So which ever one you want to use should be cool. Odd how the manual doesnt address each of the snapping rules? Oh well.

I use Cell instead of Line, it's better.

You will understand.

I think it's a thing that Image-Line should fix. A lot of people have a problem with this. They shouldn't. Took me weeks to figure it out myself.
