The following are the limits I've seen in each genre when played at 0 pitch (produced BPM).

Trance (all its forms): 123 - 148
House: 118 - 135
Techno: not exact, but about 120 - 150s

It's interesting to note (esp. in Trance) how the BPM boundary gets closer and closer as time goes on. Sad, really :(

Well, your question was avg. BPM, so I'd say if you compiled every track every made of each genre, you'd come out with:

Trance - 134-135
House - 128
Techno - not sure; don't listen to enough of it, but my really random guess is 133.

Most acapella powered trance (EX Cascada) I hear is about 138 - 142(148) BPM.

A guess would be HardHouse lies by 135 - 145 BPM

D'n'B 160 - 190?BPM

Industrial...I'm not sure, those few i've heard are about 120 - 135 BPM

Rave WAY over 145 BPM

Thats just the ones I've heard tho, I might have missed some ;D
outer limit
nrg/hard dance can run 155 as well as some of the more in yo face hardtrance.
